- About Me
A car collision fractured my pelvis, ribs and neck in 1998. Struggling to find comfort since, the past twenty years I've restored my health while managing a sedentary career developing software. Sitting ergonomics, Feldenkrais / Micro Yoga Zen, mindfulness meditation and pelvic myofascial release have proven to be essential practices. I offer first-hand knowledge to improve well-being through language and touch.
I don't offer quick fixes. Updating habitual neuromuscular patterns requires persistence. My services are pain-free, rooted in a deep listening to your nervous system. I address your concerns while training you to become a movement detective. Self-reliance and self-confidence are the rewards.
Me, my pelvis, the Camaro, and the tow truck that collided.

- How I've Helped
What is Feldenkrais / Micro Yoga Zen?Through precise medical physics, your body senses differences in position and releases unnecessary holding. Because you are learning through direct experience, the results last. You accomplish the same tasks with less energy while enjoying yourself more.
I coined "Micro Yoga Zen" to describe the modality succinctly: small, sensitive movements that bring union to one's body, mind and feelings. "Feldenkrais" is the last name of the man who originated it in the 1970s, Dr. Moshe Feldenkrais. I've added techniques from Dr. David Wise and Paula Garbourg that address chronic pelvic pain.

"During my sessions with Brent, I always felt safe and relaxed. He is professional and diligent. After talking through my injury, he performed gentle movements which led to alleviating the pain. Subtle but surprisingly transformational. I highly recommend!"
Göran Mörkeberg FPTP Assistant Trainer
"Brent has a gentle touch that's clear and skeletal at the same time. It gave me an inner picture of the bones in my feet. Afterwards they functioned at a new level. If you ever get a chance to have a lesson, don't miss it!"
Doris Hosslocher GP, FPTP Student
"I really appreciate the thoughtfulness that went into your reply, I felt supported. Learning self-use in FI by making an ATM with props is fantastic. Takes all the pressure away about what the person is experiencing, the am I doing it right?, and are they feeling what they're supposed to be feeling?"
Andrew Gaines Trained by Moshe Feldenkrais
"I've received Feldenkrais lessons from some of the most talented people in the world, and am intrigued by what Brent does. I would like to learn more."
